Dr. Salam Ayoub is a senior researcher and Director of the Horticulture Research Directorate at the National Agricultural Research Center (NARC). He is an expert in olive cultivation and olive oil quality and the principal investigator for several research projects related to the characterization and conservation of olive genetic resources, reuse of olive mill wastewater and utilization of reclaimed wastewater.
Dr. Ayoub has published several original research articles (18) in refereed national and international journals, technical bulletins (6) and books (2) and serves as a reviewer for several international journals (7). He is a member of the International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS), a member of the AARINENA Olive Network, an olive oil expert for the International Olive Council, a member of the Jordanian Society for Organic Farming, a member of the Jordanian olive oil tasting panel and the organizer of the 5th International Olive Conference (OLIVEBIOTEQ-2014).
