Stakeholders in the Greek olive and livestock sector who are facing challenges are invited to a free workshop where they will be able to connect with industry innovators who will offer solutions to common problems. This hybrid event will take place in Greek on Wednesday, January 18, at 7:30 p.m. at the Department of Forestry and Natural Environment of the Agricultural University of Athens, Karpenissi campus, and also online.

Grazed Woodlands in Lebanon: policies, initiatives and activities – Online workshop

Policy makers, farmers, entrepreneurs, researchers, private companies and other stakeholders involved in the grazing sector in Lebanon are invited to a free online workshop aiming to give an overview on the Lebanese national laws and legislations related to grazed woodlands. It will also highlight the initiatives and activities established and performed by the Lebanese Ministry of Agriculture.

The Mediterranean region leads the world in olive and olive oil production and consumption. However, the increasing demand for olives and olive oil requires the expansion of growing areas and an increase in production. Accordingly, new technologies and innovative production systems are becoming essential.

Innovations for grazed woodlands

The B2B Event – Innovations for grazed woodlands is planned in the framework of the Cross Border Living Laboratories for Agroforestry (LIVINGAGRO) project, funded by the European Union through the ENI CBC Med Programme and organized by the Lebanese Agricultural Research Institute (LARI) in collaboration with the Forest Agency for Land and Environment of Sardinia (FoReSTAS). The main aim of the event is to support education, research and development, innovation, technology transfer, and publishing and marketing research results.
