تعتبر إدارة التربة من الاهتمامات الرئيسية لمزارعي الزيتون في لبنان.
تبعا لذلك ، تعاون مثمر بين مصلحة الأبحاث العلمية الزراعيةال كلية الزراعة في الجامعة اللبنانية (LU) و بستان الزيتون في حدود مشروع المختبرات الحية أدى إلى إنشاء أ تجربة ميدانية لتقييم تأثير ممارسات إدارة التربة المختلفة.
